what electronics to buy in Singapore?
i m going to Singapore from India...on may 28th....this date also coincides with the beginning of the great Singapore shopping festival....i would like to know what electronic items i can purchase ova there.....r they cheaper compared to India or U.S.....which r the good places to buy handycams, mobile phones, laptops,or any other gaming console...do i get any advantage of the shopping festival..plzz help??

Yes the great Singapore Sale, well cheap depending on the brand, China products are now flooding the market in Singapore, Japanese brands are still the best so I guess you have to take your pick the choice is entirely yours be it handycams, laptops etc. there will be a discount during this great sale look out for promotions or package deals. cheers!

Go to Mustafa Shopping Centre and Sim Lim Square. Better at mustafa. Its located at Serangoon Road near Farrer Park MRT Station. Its located at area known as little india and you can find all sorts of things cheaply there. Indian food lodging is also available at the vicinity. Enjoy your stay here.

Singapore has been terribly affected by the recession. Singapore shopping festival is targeted at tourists like you to make a profit for economy purposes. Electronic items cost a bomb here. In US itself, you can buy whatever you need. Handycams - Sony Style @ Wisma Atria - Orchard Road. Mobile Phones @ Nokia retail outlets. www.nokia.com.sg then you can check for their retail outlets. Gaming console recommend you Nintendo or Sony PS3 or Microsoft Xbox, latest one. No advantages except 7% take the GST claim before leaving Singapore. Thats it!

Consider computer accessories such as portable hard disks, thumb drives, etc. Their prices are good in Singapore. Check out a few shops in Sim Lim Square, then get it from the one with the best price.
