Is now a good time to buy laptop (in Singapore) or shall I wait

Is now a good time to buy laptop (in Singapore) or shall I wait?
I want to buy desktop replacements, a powerful 17"+ laptop, suitable for gaming for my brother, and one for myself. Is now a good time or shall I wait for the price to drop further? Any suggestions? :)

shud have checked out the IT fair man, there were so many good deals... got my present lappy from there. but you can always check out funan. sim lim, not so sure coz it has a reputation for scammers, but still worth a try.

12 -- 15 June is one of the BEST time during PC SHOW. If you need a PC/Laptop, Should be the BEST Prices during 2009. If not you have to wait till 2010 April. Between June and next April, i don't think any very new model / Technology for PC/Laptop. Visit the First / Second day for the PC Show, you get sometimes GOOD BUY.

wait for the IT fair in june! that's what i'm going to do. i don't think the prices will be much much better but i'm pretty sure there'll be lots of promotional benefits like free items, etc.

now is good. Acer One Webbook $600 +gst. The New Cool. 17" buy a Macbook at about $2000 Don't guy a desktop soooooo last century

No lah, now its not a good time in Singapore to buy a laptop. Yeah, your decision is correct, ditch out the old desktops.. During IT fair in June, dont forget to be the 1st in quee even before they open, once they open.. go in, check out the various brands, specs which you have in your mind, the brand/model.. sure got some promotions and offers lah.. easy monthly installment options also got, provided you got the credit card.. Now - dont buy.. can? :D hehehe

Singapore used to be a great place to buy such electronics but I bought a laptop in Canada that priced out to be cheaper than the older model that was sold in Singapore!

Why wait if you badly need it and it is really important stuff that we need today's life. But also better to check all the prices before purchasing any..much better you go to IT Fair.

Price will always drop. Best times to buy are during the IT shows which is on once every quarter. In fact the next one is on from 11th June - 14th June in Suntec City

buy alienware and import to singapore via v-post.... prices in alienware dropped like crazy.... www.alienware.com
