Probably and most probably high class schools like RGS, RI & Duman High... I really doubt you'll get to choose your laptops, and there's really no way you get to use your OWN laptops. The school will provide and you'll have to pay. Anyway, you shouldn't choose a school just for it's computers allowage, just choose a good school. Using computers in secondary is just a waste of time

My grandparents brought a laptop from singapore and i seriously need help with this
My grandparents brought a laptop from singapore and i seriously need help with this?
So as the question sais they brought a sony laptop from singapore a couple of months ago. The problem with it is that i've been trying to help them for hours and we're not getting very far. The laptop they brought came already installed with Windows 7, and that's the problem. Their going away in a week and a half, and the reason they brought it was so they can email people whilst there away. They use Outlook express on their home computer, but unfortunantly, the laptop wont let you acsess Outlook Express because it's Window's 7. So we decided to use the already installed email program ( Microsoft Office Outlook), but their asking for a product code. Because the laptop came from singapore there was no product code given to us, because they never gave us the CD for window's 7, they only gave us the laptop, a laptop bag and a case. Is there a way, a person we can call, anything we can do to be able to acsess our email's without having to buy a program and install it again? Thanks.

Windows 7 has Windows Live Mail built in, for free. It is set up in a similar way to Outlook Express. Here is a tutorial: http://www.freeemailtutorials.com/windowsLiveMail/
Answer 2 :
Companies have stopped giving CD's with all their computers. It costs more money to do that, that is why they want to charge you an extra $20 for each CD or more. That is only at the time of purchase. OUCH! If I am understanding your question correctly you want to get a Key Code for the MS Office to use Outlook. Well I have tried the outlook and it does not work that well, it is setup to remove from server and its not doing that after deleting the emails. However if you want to have that run, you will get paperwork from the company they had bought the laptop from. If they failed to supply that to your grandparents. You could call the company up that is in Singapore and ask them for that information. Another option is to call Microsoft and tell them you have proof of purchase and was not given or lost the Key Code. Ask them how can we get this information. They know that people will lose things or some companies forget to hand the paper work over or that company is not legit. Which if they are not Microsoft could have reports on that company already and maybe can give you some options. btw.. You will need to make your own recovery CD's or back-up CD's. Here is another option for email and it is free. http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/ Another free email. http://www.incredimail.com/english/splash.aspx Remember to vote for best answer, thanks!
Answer 3 :
you should download Mozilla Thunderbird and use it with ease. Goto http://filehippo.com and download it.
Answer 4 :
Your Computer did not come with Microsoft Office License. It came with Windows 7 license only. They provided trial version of Microsoft Office and probably the trial period (30 days or 60 days) is over. You will need to buy Microsoft Office to get the product key now (Home and student version, the cheapest one, costs $150 but it does not include Excel and Powerpoint). However, you can uninstall Microsoft Office and then install Thunderbird from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/. If your grand parents had already set up Outlook, follow instructions here (http://support.real-time.com/tbird/outlook_import.html) to import contacts and emails. You can also install another Free and Open Source program called Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org and save yourself from buying the Office package
