Answer 1 :
The cost of laptops differs from brand, type and specs. For a mini notebook, it can cost you anything from S$600+ for a cheap one XP version at Sim Lim Square. Laptops with Vista Basic in Singapore can cost you at least S$1,100+, only cheaper if there are sales for it.
Answer 2 :
unknown Brand Standard Laptop is from 750-950 SGD. Acer from 1100 . HP low end from 1200 . Fujitsu / Toshiba / NEC from 1650. upper model around 3000 +. During PC show and Comtech show ( wait for next june, 08 is over ). prices for World Brand always 20 % off. some model even 40 % off for clear stock.
Answer 3 :
Cost of branded laptops like HP, Lenovo, Acer, Toshiba, Dell etc depending on the model are almost the same all over the world. I would advise you if you want to buy in Singapore go to a Company retailer only....avoid buying from just any electronics shop........
Answer 4 :
cheap entry level laptops cost around $600-700, while the high end could cost $2500-$3000. Medium range its roughly $900-S1000

Answer 1 :
I hope in US you'll get for lower price. Check the price list of your desired product in Singapore site and US Site.
Answer 2 :
I will recommend that you should buy it from US as laptops are cheaper there. Secondly if you buy from Singapore the cost is more because there is import duties added

What is, and where can I buy a good multimedia laptop in Singapore
What is, and where can I buy a good multimedia laptop in Singapore?
I'm a university student taking up a Digital Media course in Australia this year. I'm thinking of getting a good, graphics-intensive, media-orientated laptop. You know, for editing movies, 3-D graphics manipulation, photo-editing, etc. Not those heavy high-end desktop replacements. Just a relatively light, upper-tier one with widescreen and good multimedia capabilities. Should I get an iBook (Mac OS)? Or Windows Vista? What model would you recommend me as a digital media student? Where can I find such a model(s) at an affordable price? I'm willing to spend more than S$2000, but preferably below S$3000. Ones with International Warranties are best. Please help!
