Singapore is total free tax countries. only 7 % sales tax (GST) and for tourist if the product it not for local use,and carry home when leave Singapore, can ask for 7 % cash refund at airport. i do not know prices in India , but India with high import tax, 10 % tatal tax for PC in Malaysia, Singapore will be much Cheaper for laptop , is over 14 brand and 30 model sold here, and there will sold diffence specification for same model to diffence countries.so i can give you any prices here, also sometimes ,egg 13-15 jun (over ) because of PC Show, NEC/FUJITSU/TOSHIBA with 10-20 % off for some model. i will advice ,when you are in Singapore, just look around,if model and price comfordtable ,just buy it./Place good for PC product, Funan IT Mall / Sim Lim SQ / Mustafa 24 hr centre

I am planning to travel to Australia through Singapore? 5 hours transit in SIngapore. So Can I buy laptop in singapore duty free shops? r there any good computer shops(I need good brand laptops) in the singapore airport? will they give global warranty for that laptops? In the singapore airport duty shops. is price high?

errr, The Singapore's Changi Airport Terminal 3 is opening this Wednesday, It has Sony Shop, but i'm not so sure weather there is laptop store. Duty Free shops is cheap, electronics in SG is considered low as compared to US

i guess laptops selling at DFS at Changi Airport can be quite costly, if its possible for you to go out from airport, i'd suggest you go to Sim Lim Sq to look for laptops, or you can also try search this local sg website 88db, and look for laptops thats within your budget and that comes with global warranty
